VLEARN

Hi I'm Simon, founder of Vlearn, The idea for VLearn came to me while doing my MBA dissertation. I was writing a critical analysis of the MBA and found myself using YouTube frequently to carry out research and look for relevant content. Although reading and studying journal articles is essential to get a deep understanding of your subject I always enjoyed finding video interviews with people I had been reading about. It brought to life the names which kept reoccurring in my bibliography; Porter, Mintzberg, Friedman et al. A picture paints a thousand words as they say. Then I found TED.com - one of my favourite sites - and from their learned about the Khan Academy and Coursera. World famous academics and institutions putting their knowledge on video for free to contribute to the greater good. I decided that their was a gap in the market for a site which could provide business intelligence in a video format specifically aimed at business students and executive learners. So VLearn was born. The site is in its infancy but I hope with the help of the great academics who have shown such an interest and the business people who are prepared to give a little time to pass on their expertise we can build a great resource. I hope you enjoy the site. Please send in suggestions for new content, we are all about collaborative learning, responsible capitalism and the three P's. Simon.
